Wildlife Prevention and Winter
This is a common question and one I find has some grey area to it. Short answer: Because most bat proofing is taking away all areas bats can use to enter your house. Most Bat proofing can at least be started anytime during the year.
The more thorough answer however is that certain times of spring bats may not be able to be excluded. This however does depend on whether you have a maternal colony at your business or residence, or if its what I like to call a bachelor pad. Bats in areas such as Rochester NY, Ithaca NY, Buffalo NY, Hornell NY, and all of their suburbs can be fully excluded in Winter, Early spring and mid to late summer and fall. If you have just a lone or pair of male bats at your home and we can determine that anytime of year is acceptable. If it is a maternal colony Late spring we can start the work, however because mothers have babies it is best to allow them in and out till mid July. All other potential areas of your house can be sealed off however in anticipation for Mid July’s arrival.
