I get it. Don’t we all? Save yourself money, feel satisfied as a handyperson, and learn something new while you’re at it. Not only is it good, it works. Well, at least sometimes. Listen, if you’re so inclined I’ll be the first to answer your questions and give you advice.
Squirrel in your attic? Bat in your belfry? What’s the first thing you do? Maybe you google what to do. Maybe you crawl around your roof in hopes of solving the problem. These are always options. My hope is you succeed and if you need advice as I just said call. If you don’t, really it’s ok. Nuisance wildlife removal, squirrels, bats, birds, etc. can be tricky. They are after all a living creature, prone to have been evicted before and maybe smarter the second or third time around.
There’s also the fact that even if you’re a contractor or a professional handyman you’ve never looked at a roof the way a creature such as a bat does. Places that are tight from the context of not shedding water may still allow bats and flying squirrels in.
Placing traps in attics may be an option, yet often times squirrels, raccoons, and most wildlife have shelter at your home, yet leave the house for a meal.
Here’s the thing. This isn’t about telling you, you can’t do it. It’s about the other side of it. Give it a try and see what you come up with. It’s about putting on a dust mask and entering your attic.
Ok, so if it’s not working out? Easy, we’re a phone call away. What will we do differently? Sometimes just a subtle difference, sometimes you just missed one little detail. Other times it’s that a tool or technique that we’ve learned comes into play. Something I would never tell someone to do unless the situation is right. I’ve sealed squirrel holes before the problem was solved so I can catch the culprit. Trying to get out or in. I’ve barricaded woodchucks under sheds forcing them out and into a trap. The point is this. Call when you need us. We’re happy to help. I only have one little request. We’ll give you a fair price for what we do. If we catch the animal please don’t say “that’s all you did, I could’ve done that”. Because depending on the situation maybe you could have. So, I always have and always will give free advice over the phone. Then when you need me you know who to call. JacopilleBornheimer LLC. 585-771-0822.
