Well, it’s time again for RocCity to turn into Squirrel city. As the weather starts changing the squirrels start looking at your fascia’s, dormers, and attics as good places to live for the winter. I know, I know, it’s still warm and that part is true. However it’s coming. Winter is coming! As they say. With this Monroe county, Ontario, Livingston, Ontario, and Wayne see a marked increase in squirrel vs. homeowner confrontations. Because of this it is important to start making preparations to your home for squirrel season. Preparations so you don’t need us for squirrel removal at your little craftsman in Brighton, or your new colonial in Penfield. One of the important things you can do is trim the trees off your property. Next it is a matter of ensuring no damage has occurred to your roof this summer, and that no damage was preceding from last winter. What you don’t want is for there to be an open and easy access to your roof, or into your home.
Next, do you have a food source for them? Do you have a black walnut tree? Pick up the nuts. Do you have a bird feeder? Try real hard to keep it squirrel proof. What you don’t want is for your neighborhood squirrels to decide it’s easy to shelter and feed all right on your property. Grey squirrels are more than capable at wintering outdoors. Because of this you must insist they stay where nature intended.
Lastly, if you do have a problem call a professional. As I’ve said before that may be me, that may be another Nuisance company, but it’s not a pesticide company.
If you need us we are happy to help. Please call us as soon as you find out. It’s easier to correct the sooner we know and quite frankly cheaper. Hope this helps!
